Who Are We?
The South Saskatchewan Wildlife Association was founded in 1954 by a group of dedicated people who recognized the need to unite hunters and anglers throughout southern Saskatchewan.
In 1957 the purchase of the Aquatic Club, then on the shore of Moose Jaw River, gave the SSWA a home. The building was moved to its present site (276 Home Street East, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan) in 1960 and was renamed the Sportsman Centre.
Our aims and our objectives are the promotion, propagation and conservation of our wildlife. This includes the protection of the habitat, promotion of farmer-hunter relations and education.
We also believe in our right to sport shooting. Our club is currently Moose Jaws Only Indoor Shooting Range (open Thursdays 7-9 PM – Sundays 1-4 PM). Our gun club is a friendly environment, and all people are welcome to stop by and check us out. We often enjoy having our members stop by for a chat.
Any and all skill levels are welcome.
